Elver Park

Up until now, I have only been here for the giant sledding hill, but today walking through the back paths of cross country skiers, animal tracks everywhere, a skunk close. Brutally cold.

The red tail hawks and songbirds are long gone. Most things moving are gone as well, but I can still see small traces of life competing in the winter. There is a small area of not-yet frozen water (?), and all tracks lead to that.

We have had four inches of snow so far this year (last year we had 20 at this time). I am ready for more, I am ready for white and frozen, for scare lines of lonely.
